Yellow House

Today I am blue.
But there is no blue without yellow or orange.
Today I lost you,
But your chair has been standing empty now for some time.

Was hoping we could be friends,
Sorrowful, but always rejoicing.
Been waiting, just for you,
The lion, pirate and the troubadour.

And I will send you
Your fencing mask and gloves
And I will go my way
And never never never speak of love

You, you left me,
You left me out here lonely and bleeding.
And now they have come
And smashed in the windows of our yellow house.

I'm too scared to walk the streets,
And I'm scared of the people watching thru my windows.
The kids call me names,
but what's worse is the neighbours have scheemed to lock me away.

And I will send you
Your fencing mask and gloves
And I will go my way
And never never never speak of love

I know it's all my fault,
I've been drinking too much,
Smoking too much,
Working too much,
Always, always painting.

But the yellow house will stand empty
And it's breaking my heart.
But there's no way to bring you back.
You're the man who has come far and will go far
Who has come far and will go far
Who has come far and will go far
Away from me.
