Lost at Sea

 I have been sailing
On a ship I’ve built with my own hands.
A star led me far far away from the mainland.
Thought I’d catch the trade winds in my sails,
Sing my songs to dolphins and to whales.

But I, I am lost at sea,
Don’t think I’ll be home for tea.
I, I am lost at sea,
And the sirens are calling me.

I know there are pirates,
If I joined them I might be saved.
I’m walking through mazes,
My maps are sold, my head is shaved.
Here comes the wrecking ball again,
Tearing down what I’ve built, it’s all in vain.

And I, I am lost at sea,
Don’t know which way the wind will blow.
I, I am lost at sea,
And Calypso won't let me go.

How can I sail the sea in this little teacup?
How can I sail back home in this little boat?

I, I am lost at sea,
Don’t think I’ll be home for tea.
I, I am lost at sea,
And the sirens are calling me.

I will keep sailing
In this ship I’ve built with my own hands…
